"We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions." 1 John 3:16-18 (NLT)

Thank you again!
Thanks to all of you that participated in the Operation Christmas Adopt-a-family. We were able to provide gifts and hopefully make Christmas a little brighter this year for two North Aurora families. The North Aurora Mothers Club representative dropped off the gifts yesterday to the families and she said that it was very moving because they were so grateful.
Thank you again for your generosity.

Honduras Mission Trip
Thinking about participating in the mission trip this coming summer? Below is some more information.
Honduras Mission Trip
July 31 - Aug. 7, 2010
Location: Tegucigalpa,Honduras - Casitas Kennedy
Sample Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Tegucigalpa,
Honduras. Your team will be met by
your guide and a bus to your
destination.
Day 2 - Day 5: This is the heart of
your trip. Your days will be spent
playing sports, doing arts and crafts,
teaching school, or working on
improvement projects for the
orphanage. This is when your most
fond memories will be made with
children you will never forget.
Day 6: Spend a day taking in the
sites of Tegucigalpa. Shopping at a
local market and visiting the beautiful
churches is a must.
Day 7: Return home with a new
motivation to improve the lives of the
children you met.
Visiting Orphans seeks to help “the least of these” in Honduras; the children who have no family. Located in downtown Tegucigalpa, Casistas Kennedy is home to about 100 kids at any given time. Supported by the Honduran Government, the children only receive $75 worth of care a month. This must cover all expenses for each child. Coming from abusive and very poor backgrounds, the children at Casistas Kennedy have very little hope in their spirits. We want to change that. In conjunction with a local Honduran NGO called Puerta al Mundo, we want to transform the lives of the children living at Casitas Kennedy and make it a haven instead of the prison it is currently.
As part of this trip, you will have the chance to minister to some of these children in a very humble and powerful way by simply going to the orphanages where they live and offering a helping hand.
